Do Not Fall for the Wall

It is imperative that the voters of Greene County understand what has been taking place in their small community. For over 40 years, Greensboro has had the same local resident as its Probate Judge in office. That is quite a commitment, but in the legal profession, it is fraught with issues and conflicts.

The only difference is that Probate Court Candidate Mr. Russell Wall has a legal background, and all his friends, clients, peers, and other associates to come before him in court. If Mr. Wall were ethical, the laundry list of conflicts would be extensive, and he would constantly need to recuse himself. This unethical arrangement must stop, especially in small communities where everyone knows each other. This “good ole boy” network is ruining our legal system. This especially applies to having one of the “boys” from the legal community now on the bench. There are only a handful of attorneys in the Greensboro area. Until the Georgia legislature does something to stop attorneys in small towns from double dipping and padding their wallets, the voters need to step up and say no.

One thing is for sure: Mr. Wall will have the support of all the lawyers and their friends so they can benefit from the wonderful decisions guaranteed to come their way if the voters elect Wall to office. Electing Mr. Wall will continue the terrible decisions that have made Greene County and the Ocmulgee Judicial District one of the most overturned Districts in Georgia.

Electing a local attorney to be the Judge in a small town like Greensboro is analogous to putting a bank robber in charge of the jail! It makes absolutely NO SENSE and would be a terrible idea for Greene County, Georgia.
